Founded in October 1955, The Dynamic Silvertones of Iva, South Carolina, formerly known as The Silvertones, have been sharing the Gospel through song for over 70 years. What began as a group of young men singing together after the Anderson County Fair first became The Seven Trumpets, then later The Silvertones, growing into one of the most respected gospel quartets.

Through decades of ministry, the group has remained committed to spreading the message of Christ in churches, concerts, and gospel events across the region. In 2022, a renewed lineup brought fresh energy, new music, and continued growth throughout the Carolinas.

In October 2025, longtime leader Rev. Floyd Johnson passed the torch to his nephew, Shante Johnson. Today, as The Dynamic Silvertones of Iva, South Carolina, the group continues to honor its rich heritage while looking ahead, using gospel music to encourage hearts and glorify God.
